In a period of 3 months, Rooney wrote 10 thousand words that constituted the book. She finished the writing part of her first book when she was still pursuing her master’s degree at Trinity College. It was in late 2014 that Rooney started writing constantly and with more seriousness. She described it as absolute trash and chose to never publish it. When Rooney was 15 years old, she had written her first story.
